Weather looking decent for World Cup weekend

Temperatures are expected to remain in the low 20s

If you’re planning to head outside for a big-screen viewing of the World Cup games at Islands Brygge this weekend, you may just be in luck, according to national weather forecasters, DMI.

Saturday will have some sun and temperatures up to 22 degrees C, although there will be a few local showers in the afternoon. Sunday will be drier with more sun as temperatures once again reach 22 degrees C.

“The weather will actually become better and better as the weekend progresses,” Bill Vejdegren, a DMI spokesperson, told Berlingske newspaper. “It’s going to be a pretty fine weekend.”

Continuing into next week
Early next week will largely resemble the weekend weather with some sun and some chances of showers, with temperatures reaching up to 23 degrees.

But should DMI’s forecast turn out to be a wet duck, there are plenty of pubs in the city where football fans can retreat in order to catch the World Cup games in drier circumstances.

Warning: an umbrella may still be required in certain pubs to shield patron from liquids falling from above during acts of celebration.
