Embassy confirms deadly 70-metre fall from cliff

A 22-year-old Danish woman has fallen to her death from a cliff in South Africa, according to reports in the South African media.

The woman fell 70 meters while walking on a mountain route along with a Spanish friend in the Nieu-Bethesda area of South Africa on Sunday.

Relatives notified
Rescue workers were dispatched, but the woman’s life could not be saved.

The Foreign Ministry Consular’s office has confirmed that a Danish woman has died in South Africa and that her relatives have been informed.
