Step into the pages of history with The Copenhagen Post as we invite you on a captivating guided tour of Kronborg Castle ā one of Northern Europeās most legendary landmarks, beautifully perched on the edge of the Ćresund Strait.
Discover Kronborg
Kronborg was built in the 16th century by King Frederik II. Strategically positioned at the narrowest point of the Ćresund, Kronborg was the control post for one of Europeās most important waterways.
Perhaps most famously, Kronborg is forever linked to William Shakespeare. In his play Hamlet, the setting āElsinoreā refers directly to Kronborg ā giving the castle an immortal place in world literature.
