Football: Midtjylland takes on strong Spanish side in the Europa League

At Home in Herning, FC Midtjylland will face Spanish Real Sociedad in the Europa League 1/16 finals Knockout round, in the first of two matches against the Spanish side.

The Wolves from Herning have been off to a strong start opening 2025 with a win in Bulgaria versus Ludogorets, and in their latest competitive game, in a draw in Herning against Fenerbache from Turkey.

However the Danes must be considered overall underdogs versus the Spanish team, that is currently ranked #7 in La Liga and comes with recent victories from both La Liga, and the Spanish Copa del Rey.

The game starts at 18:45 in Herning
