The model turned author turned princess

Last week, the Rygaards International School hosted a special book signing event featuring the author of the ‘Model Under Cover’ books, Carina Axelsson.

Girls from the sixth to eighth grades (ages 11-15) had the opportunity to ask Axelsson questions about her work, got helpful writing tips and listened to extracts from her book series about a girl detective who solves fashion mysteries.

Practically royalty
Half Swedish, half Mexican, Axelsson used to work as a fashion model in New York and Paris before becoming an author.

She published her first book, ‘A Crime of Fashion’, in 2014 and is currently working on the fourth volume of her mystery series.

Axelsson is the long-term girlfriend of Prince Gustav, the eldest and only son of Princess Benedikte and nephew of the queen.
