A 53-year-old Swedish man wanted to eat at Jensen's Bøfhus in Aalborg, but couldn’t cover the bill.
He ran up a tab for food and drink of over 500 kroner, but when the bill was presented, the skint diner went to the toilet, lied down on the floor and pretended to be ill, claiming heart trouble.
Paramedics called to the scene could find nothing wrong with the man beyond his empty pockets.

The stunt earned the Swede a night in jail. Aalborg police said that they would try to make him pay up, but if he was truly broke, “you cannot get blood from a stone”.
