There is plenty to do this week, especially if you are a fan of theatre, dance, film and sportstrip – yes, stripping can be a sport, and quite a popular one at that. So take your pick of the events and enjoy what this city has to offer.

The Way the World Ends
As its title suggests, this performance explores human beings at their darkest moments, from those who have lost a loved one, to those living in fearing of each other or the final inevitable moment of death. But it’s not all doom and gloom. The production also reveals humans’ acceptance of the absurdity of life. The themes are presented through an interesting collage of texts, incorporating theatre, physical performance, video projections, music and song. The performance is entirely in English. EB

Dance at Louisiana
Imagine watching the amazing Dansk Danseteater’s international dancers perform against a backdrop of the legendary Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. This performance will include Tim Rushton’s critically acclaimed Monolith – currently playing at Det Kongelige Teater – and excerpts from Love Songs. Rushton has also selected one of Kim Brandstrup’s beautiful duets to perform. If you plan to sit on the hill with a view of the water, bring a picnic rug or beach chair. EB

Jewish Film Festival
This four-day programme focuses on the best of the best in modern Jewish cinema and includes a range of films with Jewish-related themes. This year’s festival features the Danish premieres of a number of highly acclaimed award-winning films such as ‘The Rabbi’s Cat’ and ‘Simon and the Oaks’. As well as film screenings, there will also be debates, guest presenters and festive events. JOS

Sportstrip championships
The National Championships are back as women across the country compete in a fitness discipline that has taken the country by storm. Different from traditional strip contests, participants will be assessed in eight different categories to ensure a focus on movement and mental health, rather than nudity. JOS
