Police in Copenhagen have arrested three suspects and identifited a fourth in connection with the fatal stabbing of 21-year-old law student Jonas Thomsen Sekyere last weekend.
Sekyere died early last Saturday morning at a Copenhagen nightclub after receiving multiple stab wounds to his chest.
Two men, both 20, were arrested Friday evening in connection with the death. This morning, a third suspect, aged 22, turned himself in.
The police said they have the identity of the fourth suspect. They are calling on the 27-year-old to turn himself in, and said they would release more details about his identity on Sunday if he had not.
According to investigators, video surveillance and witness statements all indicated that the four suspects had been together at the Bakken nightclub in the Kødbyen district around the time of the stabbing.
The police did not believe that the four suspects knew their victim or that the stabbing had been planned. They were still uncertain what led to the incident.
The three men will be arraigned later today in Copenhagen.
