State-owned Danish Oil and Natural Gas (DONG) laid off 324 employees today as part of the company's savings plan.
According to epn.dk, a company spokesperson said that the lost jobs would be spread out across the nation and through the company's various departments.
Earlier in the month, DONG announced that it would make personnel cuts totalling upwards of 600 positions, but the 324 lay-offs were agreed upon after negotiations with union representatives.
The move comes as part of a plan to trim one billion kroner from the company's annual budget.
