Six held in large-scale drug bust

Six men remain in custody after 30 kilos of drugs were seized Monday night

Six men between the ages of 24 and 27 charged with selling narcotics were remanded into custody by Frederiksberg District Court yesterday. The men are accused of selling amphetamines, cocaine and the powerful anaesthetic ketamine, known as Special K on the street. Nearly 30 kilogrammes of drugs were seized when the men were arrested Monday night.

Prosecutor Karina Nørgaard told DR News that the men will be held for four weeks.

Police said that the men are part of a well-organised drug network.

“These are not a bunch of random drug dealers,” Kim Kliver, the head of Task Force East, told DR News. “This is a well-structured organisation that can handle the distribution of large quantities of drugs.”

Kliver said that the network had been in business “for a long time”, supplying both in Zealand and in other parts of the country.
