Bulls of steel

Watch the world's best cliff divers take on the Opera House this weekend, enjoy comedy on Studiestræde or score a sofa for 20kr this week.

Red Bull Cliff Diving: World Series 2013
Due to its severe lack of cliffs or skyscrapers along the waterfront, Copenhagen hosting Red Bull’s Cliff Diving competition might seem unlikely, but they have found an entertaining solution: the Opera House. Ten of the world’s best cliff divers will get a spectacular view up to Amalienborg castle while falling (with style) 27 metres from the roof of the Opera House, almost three times the Olympic diving height, at 85 km/h. Those not exhilarated enough by the prospect can head over to the after-party – across the water at Skuespilhuset – from 22:00 with a DJ line-up.

Copenhagen Opera House, Ekvipagemestervej 10, Cph K; Sat 13:30-16:00; Free Adm; www.redbull.dk

Love knows no borders
Expats and their Danish partners are invited to bring objects to the Love knows no borders event that symbolise their love, particularly if they incorporate an international element. The event is part of the Søren Kierkegaard: works of love, objects of love exhibition, which is attempting to show how rich and beautiful objects can become under love’s transformative ray. As Kierkegaard himself once wrote: “When one has once fully entered the realm of love, the world – no matter how imperfect – becomes rich and beautiful.” After all, love is probably the reason you’re in Copenhagen in the first place.
