Caroline Wozniacki is out of Wimbledon

Caroline Wozniacki was dumped out of Wimbledon on Wednesday in the second round by Czech player Petra Cetkovska, the world number 196. She never looked comfortable after an early slip and lost 2-6, 2-6.The loss marks yet another low-point for the world number 9, who recently finished an abysmal clay season.

A return to grass, a possible racquet change and a solid 6-0, 6-2 win in the first round against Estrella Cabezacandela of Spain was supposed to be a Woz revival, but once again the Dane has lost against a competitor ranked far lower than her. Wozniacki has now recorded 15 losses and just 20 wins this year.

Later today, Frederik Løchte Nielsen is due to start his doubles campaign with Bulgarian partner Grigor Dimitrov. Last week the pair made the semis, like Woz, at the Aegon in Eastbourne.
