A tip-off from the Swedish police on Friday led the Copenhagen Police to raid an apartment on Bispeengen in Frederiksberg and find 650kg of cannabis.
The apartment’s resident, a 42-year-old man, was arrested after the discovery of the 30 million kroner haul and has been jailed for four weeks.
“Copenhagen’s strategy against the cannabis trade is to target the buyers, sellers and distributors and make involvement in this trade both unattractive and risky,” police inspector Jørgen Skov told Jyllands-Posten newspaper.
Copenhagen Police also confiscated 243kg of cannabis from a garage facility in Rødovre in July.
The discovery was made following an investigation by the Task Force Pusher Street after they were informed that a 34-year-old man was supplying cannabis to the illegal market in Christiania.
