Yonder comes the train plan

The government is ready to spend 27.5 billion kroner on rail service improvements it predicts will save commuters over nine million transport hours a year by 2025.

The Transport Ministry plan calls for railways to be electrified, new lines to be built and reduced travel times between major cities.

The improvements would be funded by proceeds from the sale of oil.

The Transport Ministry expects the initiatives will have an 800 million kroner annual economic benefit due to improved mobility.
