This morning, the police launched a massive cannabis raid that involved raids in Christiania and on more than 150 addresses across Zealand.
According to the police Twitter account, around 80 people have been arrested and huge amounts of cannabis and cash confiscated.
“As part of our continuing investigation into the dealers and distributors of cannabis to Pusherstreet, we have launched a very large number of raids and arrests today,” Jørgen Skov, the head of the investigative unit at Copenhagen Police, said in a press release.

Part of greater effort
Police forces across Zealand are taking part in the mass raid, which has come just a few days after a similar raid on Jægersborggade in Nørrebro where a large number of people were also arrested.
“In the last few weeks, we have completed co-ordinated raid and arrest actions against the open cannabis dealing in the Copenhagen area and the gangs behind it,” Skov said. “We mean it when we say that we have launched a long-term effort against buyers, dealers and distributors.”
The police would not provide any further details about the raid for now.
