Dane unharmed in terrorist attack in Afghanistan

Four assailants killed in armed assault on hotel in Kabul

A Dane escaped unharmed when armed terrorists on March 20 attacked the Serena in Kabul hotel, Afghanistan, where he was staying.

Nobody died during the initial assault, but four of the assailants were subsequently shot and killed by Norwegian special units, who were in the area training Afghan troops.

The Taliban network Zabihullah Mujahid later sent an email to journalists to take responsibility for the attack. The four dead terrorists were all around 18 years old, according to the Afghan Foreign Ministry.
