There is never a wrong time for caviar – unless maybe at the end of month or when you are really hungry. But where should you go when the sudden urge for the black gold occurs? Copenhagen has options for different situations: whether you are killing time at the airport, shopping in the city centre or you just want it delivered right to your door.

Or try the online store and have the goods delivered right to your door.
Its Beluga caviar – known as the finest and most expensive one – is unfortunately not available at the online shop at the moment.
But perhaps you can have the next best thing, the Oscietra caviar. Prices start at around 1,700 kroner for 30 grams.

If you, like me, enjoy browsing around Torvehallerne on any given day and are in the mood for some Beluga caviar, then stop by the fish shop (hav.dk.)
The kilo price of their Iranian Beluga is set at no less than 40,000 kroner, which means that you can purchase 30 grams for around 1,200 kroner.
Since caviar should not be eaten with a silver spoon, because it can affect the taste, the shop also sells bone spoons at 89 kroner a piece.
Some caviar lovers though would suggest that you dispense with the spoon and eat with your fingers.
