Marcos Morau is well known for his contemporary choreography.

This month, his Barcelona-based company, La Veronal, will perform Shortcuts at the National Theatre.

But don’t expect Morau’s energetic, quirky choreography to feel particularly Spanish: La Veronal is known for works that take you on a journey, almost literally.

Shortcuts combines dance and theatre to represent Moscow, Reykjavik, Siena and Copenhagen in performance, reflecting on our contemporary society through dance, text and images. Though the show, you can experience the world without ever leaving your comfortable theatre seat.
