The most classic Danish street food of them all is preparing its comeback after years of losing territory to shawarma shops.

Metroxpress reports that four new hot dog vendors opened business in Copenhagen in the past year and strenghtened the fleet by seven percent, the biggest increase in decades.

More hot dog stands have started serving organic products, which may explain the weiner's growing popularity.
