The vast majority of Danes who have cheated on their significant other have done so because of a lack of sex in their relationship, according to a survey by Nordic adultery website Victoria Milan.
Over 4,000 Danish Victoria Milan members took part and 64 percent said it was the lack of action in their 'marital bed' that had driven them to sign up to the adultery site.
“For many, an affair is a cry for help,” Sigurd Vedal, the head of Victoria Milan, said in a press release.
“It either helps revive one’s sensuality, or the affair is a way to distance oneself and end a relationship without love.”

Not just about sex
Victoria Milan’s survey found that nearly 83 percent of its members didn’t think they had sex with their partners often enough.
Some 46.1 percent said they hadn’t had sex with their partners for over a month, while 35.5 percent said they hadn’t done so in over a year. And 4.3 percent hadn’t heated up the sheets with their partners for over five years.
Over a half said the act of sex meant less than the feeling of being close to their partners.
