Several others hospitalised following smoke inhalation

Two men died in a housefire in Nørrebro last night, while several others were hospitalised due to smoke inhalation.

The fire broke out in a ground floor apartment in Birkegade, but as of this morning the cause is still unclear.

"We got a call at 2:41am that there was fire in Nørrebro," Henrik Brix, the chief of the night duty fire brigade, said in a statement.

"Unfortunately, two people died in the fire. Both of them were found in the apartment, but we don't know much about their identity yet."
