Following his first career defeat at the iron hands of Dmitry Chudinov in Moscow last year, Danish boxer Patrick Nielsen will try to get his career back on track with a possible bout against the reigning WBO champion Andy Lee, according to Ireland's Daily Star.

Lee won the WBO belt by knocking out Russian fighter Matvey Korobov in Las Vegas recently, and the Irish fighter (34 wins, 2 losses) is expected to defend his title for the first time against Nielsen (23 wins, 1 loss).

According to the Daily Star, the fight is scheduled to take place in March at the 3Arena in Dublin, which has a capacity of 14,500.

Sparred in CPH
Lee will arguably be an even bigger handful for Nielsen than Chudinov was. Lee's last loss was in 2012 when he lost to the legendary Julio Cesár Chavez Jr. He sustained a seventh-round knockout despite all three judges scoring him ahead on points.

But it won't be the first time that the Dane has met Lee in the ring. When the Irishman was preparing for his fight against Darryl Cunningham in 2013, he sparred against Albertslund-born Nielsen in Copenhagen.
