Wall-to-wall mosh-pits and chaos

Marmozets heading to pumpehuset

It's been a whirlwind ride for British five-piece Marmozets. Formed in 2007, they bolstered a name for themselves as being one of those rare female-fronted rock bands who actually rock. Forget the Paramores of this world, Marmozets are a breath of fresh air with their unique brand of aggressive rock.

They released their initial EP Passive Aggressive in 2011, establishing themselves as a ‘mathcore’ band – meaning that their sound was stacatto and disjointed, yet still popular with critics.

It wasn’t until 2012 when Marmozets joined some fellow Brits, Young Guns, on the Vans Music Nights Tour that the hype surrounding them was amped up, and with that, favourable press from the likes of BBC Radio 1, Kerrang and Rock Sound began to circulate.

Already they have been a part of the Vans Warped Tour in America, played at Glastonbury Festival, and landed themselves a major recording contract with Roadrunner Records – a label they share with Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold and Slash.

Branded by Hit The Floor magazine as “one of Britain’s finest up-and-coming rock bands right now”, they are bringing their already infamous live shows to Europe in support of their debut album, The Weird and Wonderful Marmozets.

Back with a more streamlined – but still as heavy – sound, Marmozets are taking things to the next level. Expect wall-to-wall mosh-pits and absolute chaos.
