Police found the elderly woman dead in her apartment

A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged last night with killing an elderly woman in her apartment in northwest Copenhagen.

Police investigated the woman’s death as a suspicious killing after relatives contacted them and said they were concerned for the woman’s welfare.

The victim had been stabbed to death. The suspect lived in the apartment with the murdered woman.

The 19-year-old suspect was questioned early this morning and will be brought before a court later today.
