Roskilde Festival already sold out on Saturday

Paul McCartney credited for early sell-out of single-day tickets

The Roskilde Festival has announced that single-day tickets for the festival on Saturday July 4 are sold out. Saturday is the day the former Beatle and legend Paul McCartney will give his only European festival concert this year.

“Ticket sales are going very well,” said festival spokesperson Christina Bilde in a statement. “This is already one of our top three early sales years, and we haven’t even published our full schedule. We are very happy.”

Paul McCartney, who has not played a European festival for five years, said he is looking forward to this summer's concert at the Roskilde Festival.

“I have heard that Roskilde has a fantastic atmosphere, so we are looking forward it,” McCartney said in a statement.

Just 79 out of the 169 artists scheduled to play the Roskilde Festival this year have been announced so far.
