Tivoli expands upcoming summer season

Tivoli will open for the summer on 1 April, giving guests an extra week to enjoy the fun

Copenhagen’s Tivoli Gardens will open for guests on 1 April, making the upcoming summer season the longest in the storied park’s history.

“We have previously been wary to launch the summer season in early April, but visitors repsonded positively to our extensions last summer and at Halloween and during the Christmas season,” Tivoli VP Dorthe Weinkouff Barsøe said in a statement.

Most open days, more profits
The extra opening days last year contributed to an visitor increase of 6.2 percent last year.

The upcoming 175 day season will be the longest in Tivoli's history, running from 1 April to 20 September  and will be the 173rd summer season in Tivoli's history.
