Danfoss broke revenue records in 2014

In spite of the slow world economic growth, the company continues to increase its investments

The Danfoss Group, best known for producing thermostats for heat regulation, earned record high revenue of 34.4 billion kroner in 2014 – a 4 percent rise.

According to the president and chief executive, Niels B Christiansen, the company's excellent results were achieved in spite of slow growth in the global economy.

"Our well-oiled machinery enables us to increase focus on developing and investing in the improvement of our market position. The results can be attributed to our systematic efforts to become more competitive and flexible," Christiansen commented.

The strongest year so far
The company's operating profit rose by 13 percent to 4.4 billion kroner last year, which turned out to be the strongest year in Danfoss's history when measured by profitability.

As well as large investments in India and Turkey, the company's highlight of 2014 was the acquisition of the the Finnish AC drive manufacturer Vacon.
