Today’s date: Nazi Occupation

Remembering a day of futile resistance

On April 9 it will have been 75 years since the Nazis marched into Denmark as an occupying force.

A total of 16 Danes were killed in skirmishes in southern Jutland, in front of Amalienborg Palace and at Værløse Air Base.

Flags will be raised to half-mast until noon, and then at full-mast.
