Huge gun show will target well-to-do hunters

Hunting magazine’s readers are big earners, according to survey

For the third year in a row the hunting trade fair Jagt, Vildt og Våbenmessen opens its doors in Hillerød this weekend. More than 100 exhibitors will offer all manner of products and services for the huntsman.

The event is organised by the magazine Jagt, Vildt og Våben and, according to the publication, it will be a public with a lot of purchasing power that will attend.

The magazine conducted recently conducted a survey into its 97,000 readers’ finances and hunting-related spending.

“Our survey shows that many hunters are sound financially and that 75 percent of the 350 readers we were in contact with earn more than half a million kroner and that 25 percent have more than 800,000 kroner in income.” Martin Kragh-Hansen, the head of marketing at the magazine told Berlingske Business.

The survey also found that 25 percent of readers spend more than 25,000 kroner a year on hunting.

Last year’s trade fair attracted 7,000 visitors.
