Classic Danish children’s book Bamse og den kinesiske prinsesse is returning to the stage.

Bamse falls in the water in Frederiksberg Gardens and ends up on an island inhabited by a Chinese princess who invites him to tea and has a pet dragon.

This part of the story may be inspired by the pavilion in the gardens on the aptly named Chinese Teahouse Island.

You could see the play then stroll through the gardens.
