IT error causes delays in salary transfers

Customers of all major Danish banks affected

An error in data transfers between the Nordic provider of payments services, Nets, and several Danish banks has resulted in many salaries not being delivered as usual today, TV2 reports.

Customers of Nordea Bank as well as Jyske Bank and Danske Bank have been affected by the technical error.

While Nets cannot yet explain what happened, the company assures the public “the money is coming”.

According to Ulrik Marschall, a Nets spokesperson, an alarm went off last night because the transfers of many salaries had suddenly stopped.

Peter Kjærgaard Nielsen from Danske Bank encourages all customers who experience irregularities to call the bank’s customer line.
