On this day 110 years ago, the famous tower at Copenhagen Zoo opened for the first time. Built by Otto Arboe, the tower remains a city icon, soaring 43.5 metres above Frederiksberg Hill. Closed for renovations in the 1980s and 90s, the tower reopened to again offer spectacular views. Sweden, Roskilde and Køge can all been spotted on a clear day.
