23-year-old moped driver killed in morning traffic

Young man loses his life in a right-turn accident in Ballerup this morning

A 23-year-old man from north Zealand was killed in an accident in Ballerup this morning after a truck careered into the young moped driver at a right-turn.

The accident happened at 5:46 am at the Vestbuen/Ågerupvej junction.

“It’s a classic right-turn accident in which the truck driver for some reason overlooked the moped driver,” Lars Galasz from Copenhagen West Regional Police told Ekstra Bladet.

The relatives of the deceased have been informed, and an expert is now in the process of examining the vehicles involved.

Police are still actively working at the site, might cause traffic problems in the area around the junction.
