Ladbrokes pulls out of Denmark

Customers have until the end of the month to cash in

Denmark is a betting company poorer as the British betting and gambling giant Ladbrokes shocked its clients yesterday by announcing it would close down its operations in Denmark with immediate effect.

Danish customers have been informed that they have until the end of the month to withdraw any funds from their Ladbrokes accounts.

“We would like to inform you that Ladbrokes.dk will stop operating in Denmark as of today, July 7th 2015,” Ladbrokes informed their Danish clients.

“We are therefore shutting down our website to new registrations and will stop taking bets with immediate effect. If you have funds in your Ladbrokes account, please log into your account and withdraw your balance soon. Last day to do this is July 31st 2015.”

No explanation 
The betting company did not offer any explanation for its sudden and hasty retreat from the Danish market.
