Of the 2,300 Danes who earn more than 3.5 million kroner per year, 93 percent are men, according to a survey by think-tank Kraka.
Just 150 women are in the top income group.
Structural issues
While more Danish women have entered the top income group over the past 30 years, the progress has stalled in recent years.
According to Kraka, the increase in the proportion of women in the top income group is mainly due to women getting highly-paid jobs within the health sector.
However, they still remain under-represented among the top 1 percent in many sectors – most notably agriculture.
