Unlucky man was hit by a bus after falling on the street

The start of the annual Oktoberfest festivities in Munich this week ended in tragedy for one Dane who was killed after being run over by a bus.

According to the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung, the Dane was on Bayerstraße over the weekend with some friends when he fell in front of a bus that was unable to stop in time.

The man was admitted to a local hospital in a critical condition and succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday night.

This year, the Oktoberfest in Munich kicked off on September 19 and will finish on October 4.
