On this day in 1995, the Danish football club Brøndby became the first Danish team to knock an English team out of a European competition by beating Liverpool 1-0 on aggregate in the second round of the UEFA Cup.
Brøndby triumphed thanks to a 78th minute winner by Norwegian defender Dan Eggen in their home leg.
