Scene Kunst Skoler, the performance school group founded by Britain’s Russell Collins and his Danish wife Christina Anthony, wrapped up 2015 in style with a sold-out show at Det Ny Teater on November 23.
A huge range of age groups, from 7 to 18, performed extracts from musicals, solos, modern dance, silent movie tributes and even Shakespeare (top right) to an enthralled audience of parents and friends of the stars.

Featuring the 230 students (top left) enrolled at the Scene Kunst schools based in Lyngby and Hellerup (both international and Danish), nisser, trolls and even the Julemand himself brought those gathered an early dollop of festive spirit.

“Who says ‘Miracles’ don’t happen in our time!” applauded Claudia, one of the parents – a reference to International School Hellerup’s performance of ‘Miracle’ from ‘Matilda – the Musical’, the standout performance of the night.

“Hard work, amazing result – a wonderful performance! Thank you!!”

“Thank you for the wonderful show yesterday. We laughed a lot and had a great time,” chimed Laura Davidsen, a news correspondent at TV2.

It was certainly an impressive effort by Collins and his team – a testament to how far they have come since launching in 2008.
