Danish NHL star scores his first hat-trick

Rookie from Aalborg pulls off one of sport’s toughest accomplishments

Nikolaj Ehlers, the 19-year-old Danish rookie scored three goals for his team the Winnipeg Jets, lifting them to a 5-2 victory over the Arizona Coyotes and fellow Dane Mikkel Bødker.

One player scoring three goals in the same game is called a hat-trick.

Ehlers, playing in his first season in the NHL, is now up to 12 goals and 10 assists. He has had four goals and two assist in his last four games.
