Hurricane-strength low pressure system will brush Denmark today

Rain and gale-force winds on the way

A hurricane-strength low pressure system on a direct path for Norway will bring strong winds and rain to Denmark as the day progresses.

The system will hit the west coast of Norway as a hurricane and send high winds and rain spreading over most of Denmark. Those winds could reach a gale-force strength along the west coast of Jutland.

Blowing from west to east
Northern Jutland will experience the strongest winds during the early part of the day, and Bornholm could see gale-force winds later in the afternoon.

Unusually warm air is riding in front of the low pressure system, so temperatures could get as high as 10 degrees in some parts of the country.
