C’est la vie if your summer holiday budget doesn’t stretch to an idyllic sojourn exploring the treasures of France.

But you can still stay au courant at the Fransk Affære exhibition and find out what’s à la mode in French cuisine, lifestyle, design and innovation.

Bon appetit to those sampling the finest French foie gras and nibble on classic cheesy comestibles. Lentz the chocolatier will be at hand with caramels created in a copper cauldron.

Renault will be giving VIP guests a lift from Nordhavn station, as well as displaying the Twingo – a racy little urban charmer.

Some guests may want to be at the sharp end of Didier Coucke’s ingenious ‘guillotine à saucisson’ or bring home some Pillivuyt porcelain.

The French are famous for their wine par excellence, and the vineyard Le Temps des Sages from Luberon will be proudly pouring their medal-winning Viognier wines. Champagne corks will be adding fizz to the occasion, together with non-alcoholic bubbly in the shape of Badoit mineral water from the heart of the French Alps.

The Parisian company Lampe Berger are set to clear the air with their tour-de-force bacteria and nanoparticle-removing catalytic burners, while Luberon from Hørsholm are experts at recreating the classic rustic Provence dinner table.

It’s one for the bon vivants out there, and in case you change your mind about your holiday plans, Air France are there to wish you bon voyage.
