Mystery surrounds Easter arrests at Kastrup Airport

Police have refused to comment on the case at this time

Two men were arrested at Kastrup Airport over Easter, but the circumstances of their arrest remain shrouded in mystery as police refuse to answer questions about the case, reports DR.

Possible connection to Brussels bombings
The two men, aged 23 and 32, have been remanded in custody until April 21 by a judge in Frederiksberg. However, police have declined to comment on the case and any possible connection it may have to the bombings in Brussels earlier this month.

The two men, along with a possible third, were arrested on the Wednesday after the bombings occurred. A preliminary hearing took place that afternoon, but was closed to the press and public under the ‘double-locked door’ provision.

“There is no comment on the matter at this time,” said special prosecutor Jakob Buch-Jepsen.

The men remain in solitary confinement as the court determined that since they have no particular connection to Denmark, they may be tempted to flee the country.
