This exhibition of the work of painter and sculptor Jens Ferdinand Willumsen (1863-1958), who was associated with the symbolism and expressionism movements, really shows off his striking use of colour.

It focuses on his experiments and theories as well as their meanings and effects.
Taking inspiration from French chemist Michel Eugène Chevreul and German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s theories about colour, the result is a world of beautiful spectrums that are quite dazzling.
