But applicants face longer processing times

The technical issues that had prevented Danish representations abroad and the immigration services Udlændingestyrelsen from processing and issuing visa applications have been solved.

As a result, Danish representations abroad can once again process all types of visa applications through the central electronic visa system VIS.

Increased waiting times
However, due to the previous problems the number of backlogged cases has increased and applicants face longer processing times than usual.

According to the Foreign Ministry, applicants will need to allow for about 20 days of processing time at the moment as a result.
