Police identifies corpse found by Danish Pokemon hunter

Body belonged to a convicted criminal

Danish police has identified the corpse found by a Pokémon hunter last week in Odense.

The body belonged to a 41-year-old man with criminal history, who had been missing since May.

According to police commissioner Andreas Bruun, the dead man was previously convicted of attempted murder and violence resulting in death.

“There is no immediate evidence suggesting that his death was a result of a crime,” stated Bruun.

The body was found in a drainage canal on Lodsvej street in Odense by a man playing the popular virtual reality game Pokémon Go.
