Today’s Date: Øresund Bridge Approved

Twenty-five years ago today, Parliament approved the decision to build a 7.845 km bridge connecting Copenhagen to Malmö in Sweden.

Øresundsbroen opened to the public in 2000 and is Europe’s longest bridge that combines both road and rail.
