Bad email habits irk Danes at work

Unnecessarily replying to all or CCing the boss are among the top irritating habits

The Danes are no different to the rest of the world when it comes to annoying their colleagues via email, according to a new YouGov poll for Adobe, reports Metroxpress.

But perhaps the most annoying habit according to the 1,020 respondents might surprise many, as it isn’t sending an email to somebody in the same room as you (and then acting annoyed when you don’t get an instant reply).

No, top of the list was un-necessarily ‘replying all’ to a group email – cited by a quarter as the worst cyber crime – while coming in at number four was a failure to do so.

And nobody likes a sneak! CCing in your boss was the second most heinous crime.

“That is using the media incorrectly,” digital media expert Søren Schultz Hansen, told Metroxpress newspaper.

“People use the CC-field as cover. They used to only be able to orientate their bosses orally and only did so regarding important things. Now it’s become more like spam.”
