Danish ferry saves Dutch tourists on the high seas

A Danish ferry rescued four Dutch tourists who capsized in their small vessel off the north Zealand coast near Rudkjøbing this morning.

The tourist, who are all in good health, were picked up after spending about 15 minutes in the water.

“When we received the report, we called on all ships in the area to assist and got a message from the Langeland Ferry that it had spotted the four tourists,” said a spokesperson for Danish Defence according to DR Nyheder.

“They were then picked up and are all in good health.”

Ajax fans?
The police received a report of the capsized ship this morning at 08:08.

It was not known if the Dutch tourists were undertaking an ambitious alternative journey to reach Stockholm to see Ajax Amsterdam take on Manchester United in the Europa League final tonight.
