Two men aged 21 and 19 and two women aged 22 and 18 have been sentenced in a case involving supporting a terrorist organisation.
The four had intended to go via Istanbul to Syria to fight last March. When it came for time to take off, one of the women who was 17 at the time had to remain in Denmark because her parents had taken her passport, reports DR Nyheder.
The other three were detained in Turkey and sent back to Denmark at the end of March.

The court in Glostrup has now sentenced all four to three years imprisonment. In addition the men, who have dual nationality, have had their Danish passports confiscated and are being deported for ever.
The 22-year-old woman, who is an Afghan citizen, has also been sentenced to be deported permanently.
The ruling represents the first time that women have been sentenced in Denmark for supporting a terrorist organisation.
“The court has followed the prosecution’s recommendations regarding sentencing and I’m of course very satisfied with the verdict that underlines the seriousness of trying to join a terrorist organisation,” said special prosecutor Bo Bjerregaard in a press release.
All four have appealed.
