According to the latest figures from the State Serum Institute, there were 196 people in Denmark in hospital due to COVID-19 yesterday.
It’s the first time since November 9 that under 200 people have been in hospital due to the virus.
Of the 196 hospitalised, 41 are in intensive care wards and 25 are on respirators.

Close to 2,400 deaths
Meanwhile, the infection rate has remained stable over the past few weeks, much to the glee of health experts.
“It’s really good, but also expected because we have had stable figures for hospitalisations over a period of time,” Kasper Iversen, a doctor at Herlev-Gentofte Hospital, told TV2 News.
One person has succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours and a total of 2,396 people have died due to COVID-19 since the pandemic started.
